David R. Hagen, JD, is a recognized bankruptcy attorney with the firm Merritt & Hagen, APC, in the Los Angeles area. He is also a panel Trustee for the United States Trustee's Office for the Central District.
Teaching is a passion for Dave. He has taught college level courses for paralegals at several local colleges and was an instructor in the MBA program at California Lutheran University. He has given many seminars and presentations to lawyers and non lawyers over the past 20 years.
Dave has published many materials for lawyers and the public alike. He also produced the cassette tape entitled "How to Prosper Financially". The written version of this tape appeared in the Business Section of the Los Angeles Times. Most recently, Dave wrote a chapter in the recently released publication Individual and Small Business Bankruptcy Practice published by CEB (Continuing Education of the Bar, an extension of the Board of Regents of the University of California). His work was cited in an opinion issued by the Bankruptcy Appellate Panel for the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals. He is the co-creator and host of a local cable TV show that deals with various legal topics.
