(NASBA: AC, FR)

The turmoil in recent years in the American financial market has at its roots a story of Pride and Prejudice. Powerful players associated with the Federal Reserve Bank ignored sound professional advice; this prejudicial attitude along with overconfidence led to the recent financial meltdown. As a consequence, the American public is experiencing an unprecedented number of layoffs and overwhelming financial hardships affecting countless millions.

To add insult to injury, the credit card industry has taken advantage of these hardships. This seminar will include documentaries that follow this trail and catalog the story.

The course will provide an overview of:

  • The fact that warning was given of a probable financial meltdown
  • The complications resulting as consequence of ignoring the warning
  • The despair and misery engulfing millions by giving it a "human face"
  • The continuing drama of banks taking advantage of the unemployed

This seminar will examine the results of the meltdown and help all attendees to prepare for other economic shocks that may lie ahead of us.
